Maryland Real Estate Commission – This body examines, licenses and regulates real estate licensees in the state of Maryland. Licensees can use this site to apply for, renew or reinstate a license. Consumers can search licensees by name to uncover disciplinary actions in a given time period.

Maryland Attorney General – This office offers a publication called Landlords and Tenants: Tips on Avoiding Disputes. Additionally, you can find a page with information on leases, rent, security deposits, eviction and a host of other landlord tenant matters.

Maryland Department of Commerce – For starting or growing a business, the DOC website provides information on applications, licenses, investment opportunities and government assistance programs for businesses.

Maryland Secretary of State – This agency publishes the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and the Maryland Register. Online services allow you to search the Trademark database for information on trademarks and service marks or the Notary database to find information on a notary public. There is also a section with abundant resources for condos and timeshares, including links to a condominium application and the Maryland Condominium Act.
